CITB Health & Safety Awareness - HSA

CITB Health & Safety Awareness is a one-day training course for new entrants to the construction sector. The course will give you a basic knowledge of health & safety in the construction industry and teach you your health & safety responsibilities. This course is a minimum legal requirement for construction sites and will open employment opportunities. The main benefit of the course is that it contributes as the training course part of your CSCS Card application, which will help you gain access to construction sites.

• Identifies delegates responsibility to look after themselves and others
• Identifies employer’s responsibilities
• Identifies what should be done if worker thinks their own or others H&S is at risk
• Natural progression from this course would be to SSSTS Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme

Certification for this course is valid for 5 years. To remain certified in this area, you will need to retake a course before the expiry date on your certificate, otherwise the full course will need to be retaken.
