Thames Water Passport Background and Skillguard

Thames Water Safety Passports are held in Skillguard for Utilities. This is now a self-managed service. It will be necessary to ensure that all delegates are registered by their employer prior to attending the training.

To register on the SkillGuard website and pay the subscription.

Note: If you would like to book this course, please complete the below delegate information form and provide a copy of photographic ID for each delegate:

• Delegate Information Form
• Photo ID (passport or driving licence)

All personnel working with or for Thames Water on their sites or assets must have a Thames Water passport as part of the zero-compromise culture.

• Contractors must obtain the passport before committing people to working on Thames Water sites.
• Personnel can only get the Thames Water Passport by attending a Thames Water Passport course.
• Thames Water Passports must be kept up to date and readily available for inspection.
• Construction workers undertaking construction work will require a CSCS card such as a EUSR SHEA Water and a Thames Water Passport. If working on a Clean Water Site the EUSR National Water Hygiene is also needed.

Thames Water Passport Overview

This half-day Thames Water Passport Training is designed to ensure that everyone working for or on behalf of Thames Water has been provided with consistent information on hazards and risks that may be encountered and understand the importance of working safely. The course focuses on Thames Water’s core safety message; ‘Zero Incidents, Zero Harm, Zero Compromise’.

The Thames Water Passport scheme is a means of confirming that everyone working for or on behalf of Thames Water has been provided with consistent information on risk and understands the importance of working safely.

Thames Water Passport Assessment

Assessment is via group exercise and participation.

Certificates

The Thames Water Passport is issued as a Virtual Card via an app on a smartphone. Qualification lasts for 3 years.

Prerequisites

Construction workers undertaking construction work will require a CSCS card such as a EUSR SHEA Water and a Thames Water Passport. If working on a Clean Water Site the EUSR National Water Hygiene is also needed.
