The Quantitative Face Fit Testing course provides delegates with the knowledge and practical skills required to carry out accurate, compliant fit testing of tight-fitting Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE) using a TSI PortaCount™ device. This Fit2Fit‐recognised training aligns fully with HSE guidance (INDG 479), COSHH regulations, and national best practice for RPE programmes.
Designed for those responsible for workforce safety, the course covers the principles behind quantitative fit testing, correct use and maintenance of the PortaCount machine, and how to conduct, record, and interpret fit test results confidently and competently.
This course is suitable for health and safety professionals, occupational health teams, supervisors, managers, and anyone appointed as an internal face fit tester. No previous fit testing experience is required.

No prior experience is required, but a basic understanding of workplace respiratory protection is helpful.7
Delegates must be clean shaven and not eaten or smoked for a minimum of 30 minutes prior to being face tested.
Good understanding of spoken and written English.
